American Roach

This type of roach is the largest of the house infesting roaches. This species of cockroach can measuring about 2-1/8 inches.

Habits

Also known as drain roaches! American cockroaches usually live in moist areas, but can survive in dry areas if they have access to water. They prefer warm temperatures around 84 degrees Fahrenheit and do not enjoy cold temperatures.

Found Where?

May enter homes through plumbing pipes leading you to possibly find them near bathtubs, clothes hampers and basements. Also can be found in crawl spaces, cracks and crevices of the outside porches, and walkways adjacent to buildings.

Controlling the Problem!

Just like other types of cockroach control, sanitation is very important! An American cockroach problem can be reduced and/or eliminated with the care of a professional and with the careful application of residual sprays, dusts and baits.
