Australian Roach

The Australian roach measures about 1.25 inches (32 mm).  This roach is reddish brown with yellow stripe on edge of forewing. Both sexes are fully winged and capable of gliding flights.

Habits

The Australian roach is accustom to high temperature and humidity, and are cold intolerant. Normally feeds on plant materials, and is often found in greenhouse.

This roach is more vegetarian than other roaches. This roach is also known to occasionally invade homes. In doors it can eat holes in clothing and feed upon book covers.

Found Where?

This Roach is found in greenhouses and can infest homes sheds and heated warehouses. This roach is abundant in Florida southern coastal area.

Controlling the Problem!

Keeping the exterior of the house free of fallen tree branches, and decaying plant material can control this roach. If that dose not reduces the problem then do a full exterior pest control. For indoor problems you will need to do a full pest control treatment and concentrate on any live indoor plants.
