German Roach

This type of roach is a small species of cockroach, measuring about 1.3 cm to 1.6 cm long. Relativly known as the “small” roaches.

Habits

German cockroaches usually prefer a moist environment with a relatively high degree of warmth.

Found Where?

They enjoy being around starches, sweets, grease, and meat products. They can also be found in garbage areas! German cockroaches are mostly active at night, when they forage for food, water, and mates. You are less likely to see them moving around during the day because they tend to hide in cracks and crevices and other dark sites that provide a warm and humid environment. Also their mainly concentrated areas are kitchens and bathrooms.

Controlling the Problem!

To control German cockroaches, it is important to do a thorough inspection. A clean out service is required of your premise. For residential, all kitchen drawers and cabinets must be emptied out prior to the scheduled service date. Same goes for bathrooms.  For commercial locations, the same is required throughout the vulnerable entry points.
